Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Farooqi M.Sc.,DMLT is a Medical Laboratory Technology professional licensed as Chief of Laboratory by the Ministry of Health – Kuwait.
With 18 years of experience in Biochemistry, Haematology& Blood Bank sections of Laboratories in reputed Hospitals of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, he is an effective team leader in the field of Laboratory Management and has proven capabilities in adapting to any work environment.
He understands patient and clinician needs which helps in timely treatment and has displayed expertise in quality assurance, analytical, statistical and planning skills which leads to give quality in test results bringing success to the organization.
Dr. Joseph Paul Thyparambil
Laboratory Director, Al Hamra Medical Laboratory
Dr. Joseph has been the Laboratory Director of Al Hamra Medical Laboratory since March 2010. He graduated from St John’s Medical College, Bangalore, India and took his MD in Clinical Biochemistry from Trivandrum Medical College, Kerala, India (1987).
Dr. Joseph has 19 years of teaching experience as an undergraduate and postgraduate medical teacher in various medical colleges in Kerala, and an equally long experience as a Laboratory Doctor. Following this, he worked for 5 years as the Laboratory Specialist in Clinical Biochemistry in the private sector at RNMLC – a Kuwait Government BOT project providing diagnostic services for the Adan Hospital.
He has attained training and experience in ISO quality management systems and has worked as part of a team providing a full range of general laboratory training and consultancy services which include managing change and total quality management. Dr Joseph has a passion for excellence in Laboratory Medicine and is also a member of various scientific and professional bodies, namely the NSI, ACBI, AMBiT, IDF and KWA.
Dr. Wael Mohamed Hosny El Zarka
Laboratory Director, Salmiya Medical Laboratory
Dr. Wael is a medical Immunologist and holds the MBBCH from the faculty of Medicine Alexandria University Egypt in 1995 and M.Sc Immunology in 2003. He has more than 14 Years of practical experience in medical laboratories and is well experienced in all laboratory divisions especially Immunology, Hormones and Chemistry. His scientific expertise lies in Immunological techniques (Fluorescent Microscopy, Cell Culture, Electrophoresis, Immuno-Diffusion, ELISA etc.)
Initially he joined the team of Medical Research Institute Alexandria University in 1997 and also received training in Tor-Vergata University in Rome, Italy in 1998. Before joining the Salmiya Medical Laboratory in Kuwait, he worked in the Al-Borg laboratory of Alexandria as a unit doctor in the Chemistry, Hormones & Immunology department.
Dr Wael has been the laboratory director of the Salmiya Medical Laboratory for more than seven years now and has added managerial and marketing capabilities to his scientific and practical background.
Dr. Maimoona Iftikhar
Laboratory Director, German Medical Care Laboratory
Dr. Maimoona has been the Laboratory Director of the GMC laboratory since March 2008. She obtained her M.B.B.S. (Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery), in April 2004 from the King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Pakistan which is one of the most prestigious Medical Universities in Pakistan. She achieved her residency in pathology at the Department of Pathology, Allama Iqbal Medical College and Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan. She has an outstanding academic career and extensive training in laboratory medicine. Before joining the GMC Laboratory, Dr. Maimoona worked as Clinical Laboratory Resident at FMC Clinical Laboratories, Fatima Memorial Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan.
She is certified in Quality Management in Laboratory (JCI Focus) in March 2009 and participated in the GCC Annual Clinical Conference on Microbiology in Infectious Diseases in October 2008.
Dr. Anand Kumar
Radiologist and Head, Diagnostic Centre, Specialized Clinics Centre.
Dr. Anand Kumar has 22 years of experience in working with various modalities of Radiology like General Radiology, Mammography, Ultrasound and Colour Doppler, CT and MRI. He took his M.D. (Radio diagnosis) from Delhi University in 1989 and has worked in various Military Hospitals across India for over 25 years as GP and Specialist in Radiology.
He has also worked in a multi super specialty hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as a radiologist. MRI in Muscular skeletal diseases, sports injuries and Neuro-radiology are his special interest fields.
